Smokies Backcountry Trip
Our Smokies Backcountry Trip takes you to the most epic and wild trout streams inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! The Smoky Mountains have 2,910 miles of wild trout streams, with only 900 miles of trails to access the park. That means there’s over 2,000 miles of wild trout water that rarely ever see a fly. The only means of getting to the REAL backcountry is to backpack in there and stay overnight!
Smoky Mountain Trout
Fly Fishing the Smokies is the only Fly Fishing Outfitter in both North Carolina and Tennessee to offer this kind of experience. You will fish the absolute best streams humanly possible inside the Great Smoky Mountains. In many cases the wild trout have never seen a fly or an angler! Imagine catching wild Browns that don’t second guess taking your fly. Or casting into a pool where upwards of 10 Brook trout compete for your dry fly! You’ve seen nothing like this before, and you’ll be hard pressed to see this kind of action anywhere else in the east!
