Paula Deen Fly Fishing the Smokies
Paula Deen is opening a new restaurant at the Island in Pigeon Forge Tennessee called Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen. The Grand of the new restaurant is April 27th, we plan to be there with bells on! On her most recent visit to the Smoky Mountains, Paula and her husband Capt. Michael took in some fly fishing on the Tuckasegee River near Cherokee NC. Fly Fishing the Smokies was proud to have the honor of being their guides for the day.
Paula is no stranger to fishing, having beat longtime Bass Fishing Professional and celebrity Jimmy Houston in The Bag Lady Foundation Charity Tournament last year. Paula can cast a fly rod as good as she can cook! The trout in the Tuckasegee River were runnin’ scared as Paula and Capt. Michael took to working the runs and pools with hand tied flies their guides made for the day.
